Although the approach adopted for Light Ring also applies to the Tubular Light lamp, the resulting perception of light and of the inte- raction between light and the environment is quite different. It is, however, equally intense and emotional. Each lighting tube is capable of emitting light upward or downward. The light is always more concentrated than we nd for Light Ring. The levels of distribution vary according to the diameter of the tubes installed. Here too, the nine lighting scenarios vary among themselves. The scenarios were designed with three typologies in mind: diffuse light, concen- trated light (dining and study), and emotional light. The light is clear and intense and the ef- fect of difference, on looking upon the lamp, is even more marked. The idea is to empha- sise the play between shade and light which underscores a sense of intensity and drama, for remarkably striking scenographic effects.
