The silky oak is used here in both solid form and in a slatted texture – to create an attractive play of shadows and colored accents. The overall look, however, is classic and understated. The slats are cut precisely to size in a show of true artisanal skill. The glass doors on the island are also reflected as elements in the upper cabinets, where they are hung using invisible hinge technology. The bar area behind, with internal lighting, gains added visual depth thanks to the mirrored back wall.
